NPPA (1919 - TODAY)
Newlands and Paparangi Residents Association was formed in 1919. Records found 9th May 1919 in minutes from the Makara County Council. The NPPA is run by local volunteers. If you can see something that needs to be done in the community the NPPA will help to facilitate it happening. We thank all who have been involved over the last 100 years. We always welcome new members. Meetings are held at the Newlands Community Centre on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 pm ( February through November). Volunteers are always welcome to work on improvement areas needed in the Area.
The NPPA aims to inspire and motivate local residents to act locally and in the process improve the way of life in the community, created sustainable future, live responsibly and enjoy the benefits of residing in one of the most progressive areas of the Wellington Region.
